Setup a POP3 / IMAP email account in Mac

Open Mac Mail. Choose “Mail” > “Add Account…”.

Select “Other Mail Account”, and then click “Continue”.
You will need to enter the following information:

• Full Name : Type your name. This is the name of the sender in email messages that you send from this account.
• Email address : Full email address
• Password : Email account password

Click “Sign In”.

You will need to enter the following information:
Incoming mail server

• Account Type :POP/IMAP
• Description : Whatever you want (example: POP Account)
• Incoming mail server : mail.yourdomain.com
• Untick “Automatically manage connection settings” in IMAP / POP
• User Name : Your full email address (example: john@your-domain.com)
• Password : Your email password

Outgoing email server

• Description: Whatever you want (example: POP Account)
• Outgoing Mail Server :mail.yourdomain.com
• Untick “Automatically manage connection settings” in IMAP / POP
• Use only this server: Checked
• Use Authentication: Checked
• User Name: Your full mailbox address (example: john@your-domain.com)
• Password: Your mailbox password

Note :

Click “Connect” if you receive a message about a security certificate.

Check “Take account online” box.

Click “Create” to complete the set-up.
