What is main domain name, addon domain, subdomain, parked domain?

A domain name is the label used to identify your Web site, for example yourdomain.com.
It usually describes some aspect of your site and is easier for your visitors to remember than your Web address, also known as your IP address.

For visitors to access your site on the Internet, you must select a unique domain name and register it with an accredited domain name registrar.
We can register your domain name for you.

Addon domains

An addon domain name allows you to host a website for a domain name that has nothing to do with your main domain name.
If you needed to host more than one different website on your account, the additional domain names would need to be added as addon domain names.

A subdomain is a second website with its own unique content, but there is no new domain name.
For example, a subdomain name of dataplugs.com is en.dataplugs.com

Parked domains / Domain alias

A parked domain name allows you to have multiple domain names point to your main website on your account – often used to send mydomain.com, mydomain.com.hk, and mydomain.cn to the same site.
