Setup a POP3 / IMAP email account in Windows Mail
Open Windows Mail. Go to the “Tools” > “Accounts”.
Click the “Add” button.
Select “E-mail Account” and click “Next”.
Display name :Type your name. This is the name of the sender in email messages that you send from this account. Click the “Next” button.
E-mail address : Full email address.
Click the “Next” button.
Insert the incoming and outgoing server information.
- Incoming e-mail server type : POP3/IMAP
- Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server : mail@yourdomain.com
- Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) : mail@yourdomain.com
- Check the “Outgoing server requires authentication” box.
Click “Next”.
Enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com) and the password for your email account then click “Next”.
In the Congratulations window, if you don’t want to download all your messages, check the box labeled “Do not download my e-mail at this time”.
Otherwise, you can leave this setting unchecked.
Click the “Finish” button.
Select the email account you just created and click “Properties”.
Select “Advanced”.

Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- SMTP Port : 2525
Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com - IMAP Port : 993
- POP3 Port : 995
Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com
- SMTP Port : 465
Remark : If you use Secure SSL / TLS Settings, check the “This service requires a secure connection (SSL)” box in both outgoing and Incoming mails.
Click the “OK” button.
